Under Her Hat

Dementia.
Grandma moves in.
Things change.
She changes.
She sets the kitchen on fire.
We carry around a fire extinguisher.
Laughter.
Tears.
A second fire.

Always trying to remember, the person under her hat.

Isabelle has been working in collaboration with the Riverland General Practice Network in order to create Under Her Hat. The performance will debut on Monday 28th March, at 7pm, in Berri to create awareness for Dementia. The evening will celebrate the launch of "Moments, Marbles & Memories" a book, in which the community has contributed their stories and experiences with Dementia.

Isabelle is ready and raring to perform again this year after a successful 2010.

The three major productions are as follows…

The Duck Bill and The Pussy Cat a comedy devised to educate and encourage women on
the significance of many women’s health issues, predominantly the importance of a regular Pap smear.

Similarly, Tittering Myths Outa Melons is aimed to make women laugh while they are educated on
different breast awareness issues.

Taking a step away from comedy, Isabelle will also be available to perform, Deal With It! a
semi-autobiographical piece about a daughter and her struggle to come to terms with a life
altering loss, which ultimately shapes her identity and sense of reality.

Isabelle also available to write and perform new work, which caters to the needs of any other
health issues or information sessions your organisation may have. Isabelle is a true believer in
theatre as a medium for education and change.
